Feeling At Home Away From Home : Global Citizen’s Institute Of The Asia Pacific YMCA
In August, a training programme was facilitated for the Global Citizen’s Institute of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), Asia Pacific region. The SH hosted 10 participants of this programme for 2 weeks. The participants were from Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The participants were made to feel at home by Maurice, Mike and the team who warmly welcomed them and looked after them like their own children. This is a hallmark of the service one receives at Sanctuary House. You are made to feel at home. For those who are away from their homes and even their own countries, this feeling helps in so many ways.
