The #NCEASL hosted its annual Childrens’ Camp for 106 kids from underprivileged and persecuted Christian homes around the island. The 3 day camp included educational sessions, fun activities, games and even a Talent Night, all of which aimed at encouraging these children who face several problems including rejection and discrimination for their faith.
Sanctuary House designed and facilitated experiential learning activities for the group which were aligned to the camp theme. The children were so happy to be able to have fun activities together. Some of them could be seen encouraging others to participate. Many valuable spiritual lessons which they were studying in the sessions were forcibly and memorably reinforced through the fun activities.
The Children realized that challenges have to be faced; they are stepping stones to the future. They also learnt the power of unity in overcoming seemingly impossible obstacles.
