A three-day training program was conducted by NCEASL for 40 Volunteer Christianity teachers. These teachers have a passion to see that students who offer Christianity as a subject for their GCE Ordinary Level are able to follow the syllabus in school. In many instances, there are no qualified teachers in the outstations.
The training is conducted to equip them to teach the syllabus, to train them in techniques and to motivate them to continue in this difficult.
Sanctuary House designed and conducted experiential activities to motivate this group, as well as help them learn life skills such as time management, patience, communication skills, persistence and more.
Since this group was not very physically active, the activities were designed to balance exertion and learning to their fitness level. This way we were able to ensure the physical safety of the participants, while also encouraging participation, fun and learning to a greater level.
