Sanctuary House hosted a group of senior Pastors including regional heads from a large denomination on January 12th and 13th.
The denomination was conducting a strategic planning session. Special focus was on aligning all the regional operations to the overall vision of the organization.
The program organizers requested us to facilitate experiential learning activities for this group: requirements included helping the participants see the importance of prioritizing activities based on the organizational vision, and helping them find a way to solve potential conflicts when implementing their activities.
The experiential learning activities were enjoyed by the whole group; there was laughter and fun as the activities were tailor-made to suit the dynamics of the group.
The specific activities designed to simulate the conditions they would face, really helped them realize the importance of aligning all their activities to the common goal, and helped them understand practical ways in which they could avoid conflicts of interest.
